“There’s A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow”

Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress is an attraction located in Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom Park in Orlando, Florida. You travel through the 20th century and marvel at the evolution of technology during this classic Audio-Animatronics show.

This attraction originally debuted at the 1964-65 New York World’s Fair and was sponsored by General Electric. It features a classic song, “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” by the Academy Award winning team of brothers Richard and Robert Sherman. The show was an instant hit.

There’s a great, big, beautiful tomorrow.

And tomorrow’s just a dream away.

That’s not an easy concept to digest right now. We are focused on the day, doing our best to address the challenges that the pandemic presents to us. That’s understandable.

There’s an instinct – perhaps a want or need – to pull back, to recede in one self. That’s a mistake.

Disruption creates opportunity.

Renewable energy and clean technology are the stuff of hopes and dreams. The future however, is today.

Our responsibility as leaders is to be critical in our thinking and creative in proposing solutions to move forward.

You need to be present, active and engaged to bring a new product or service to the market.
